What are water spots?
Water spot damage begins as droplets of water land on paintwork and other automotive surfaces. As the water evaporates, all the minerals inside the droplet are left behind as a stain on the surface. You can wipe them away during a car wash or with a quick detail spray. However, if you leave it overnight, the water spots may bond to the surface. Usually, you can remove them with a quick detailer. But if a quick detail spray doesn’t work, you may need to use a water spot remover. AQUA APC SOUR can help neutralise the essential alkalinity of the minerals deposits and clean them from the surface. If you leave the water spots for a long time in the hot sun, the minerals bake onto the area and begin reacting with the surface. Beyond this level of contamination, water spots can etch.
Most water spots left by lawn sprinklers, rainstorms, and car washing are basic alkaline mineral stains. To counteract bases, chemists use acids of complementary strength. For example, AQUA water spot remover contains an acid that reacts with typical mineral deposits. Moreover, it neutralises them and cleans them from paintwork, glass, and other polished exterior automotive surfaces. The simple chemistry effectively cleans mineral deposits without resorting to abrasive compounds, polishes, or even wet sanding steps that more severe spots require.
