MEGUIAR’S Ceramic Trim Restorer 473ml

MEGUIAR’S Ceramic Trim Restorer

Meguiar’s Hybrid Ceramic Trim Restorer is designed to restore and protect faded exterior plastic, vinyl and rubber trim. It uses advanced SiO2 technology to bring back a darker, richer appearance while adding durable protection.

Exterior plastics gradually lose their original appearance through exposure to sunlight, rain, washing and environmental contamination. Consequently, faded trim can make an otherwise well-maintained vehicle look much older.

Meguiar’s provides a quick and simple solution. Apply a thin, even layer to the surface and remove any excess product.

The ceramic trim restorer immediately improves the appearance of tired exterior trim. Furthermore, its hybrid ceramic technology helps maintain the restored finish through regular washing and exposure to the elements.

Does trim restorer work on faded black plastic?

Yes. Meguiar’s specifically designed this ceramic trim restorer to revive faded and weathered exterior trim.

The formula restores darkness and adds an attractive finish to unpainted plastic and vinyl surfaces. Therefore, grey and tired-looking trim can regain a much richer appearance.

This makes the product particularly useful on older vehicles. However, you can also use it to maintain newer exterior plastics before they become heavily faded.

The restored appearance can make a noticeable difference to the overall presentation of your vehicle.

Moreover, the SiO2 formula adds protection instead of simply creating a temporary visual improvement. This helps maintain the refreshed finish for longer.

What exterior surfaces can you use it on?

Meguiar’s Hybrid Ceramic Trim Restorer works on a wide range of unpainted exterior plastic, vinyl and rubber trim.

Use it on plastic bumpers, exterior mouldings and door handles. Additionally, it works well on rear-view mirror housings and windshield cowling areas.

You can also apply the ceramic trim restorer to other suitable unpainted exterior trim pieces that have started to lose their original appearance.

This versatility allows you to restore several different areas with one product.

However, always avoid applying trim restorers to surfaces where increased slickness could create a safety issue. Additionally, follow the instructions on the bottle before treating unfamiliar materials.

How do you apply Meguiar’s Hybrid Ceramic Trim Restorer?

For the best results, start with clean and dry exterior trim.

Remove dirt, old dressings and other contamination before applying the ceramic trim restorer. Proper preparation allows the product to make direct contact with the surface.

Next, apply a small amount of product to a suitable applicator. Spread it thinly and evenly across the trim.

Avoid applying excessive amounts. A controlled, even layer provides a cleaner and more consistent result.

Finally, wipe away any excess product with a clean microfiber cloth.

The straightforward wipe-on and wipe-off process makes Meguiar’s Hybrid Ceramic Trim Restorer suitable for both detailing enthusiasts and everyday car owners.
