NAT Deal Pack The Best Polishing Pads (6 pack)

Nat Deal  Pack Polishing pads with 5″ pads from NAT is an excellent offer for every detailer. There is never too many polishing pads when detailing a car, Deal pack is the solution. Deal Pack Mix contains all gradations of polishing pads in one box. Other Deal Packs contain 6 pads of one gradation. Available Gradations: Hard Cut – white, Heavy Cut violet, Heavy Cut medium -green, Heavy Cut Light- Blue, Medium -yellow.

Both the shape and the foams have been developed in response to the needs of the detailing market. The pad has a 19 mm diameter cut hole. When working on Dual Action machines, a big problem is a high temperature that passes from the machine to the backing plate and then to the polishing pad. The central opening provides better ventilation and extends the durability of the pad. This solution also prevents clogging the pad centre with a compound. Due to the use of a larger diameter of Velcro than the typical sizes of the mounting plates, the pressing force of the machine is distributed over the entire working surface of the sponge. The NAT  DA series was designed to work with Dual Action machines.

How do you choose the best polishing pads?

White Hard Cut is an ideal pad for removing deep damage on hard and medium paints. With proper polishing technique, it leaves a good or very good finish.
Purple Heavy Cut: Pad ideal for removing medium damage from hard paints or deep damage from medium paints.
Green Heavy Cut/One Step: This pad is ideal for removing minor damage from hard paints, more serious damage from medium paints or serious damage from soft paints. It is also suitable for one-step polishing of hard or medium paints.
Blue Heavy Cut pad: This pad has properties similar to green but slightly less cutting force.
Orange One Step Pad: a typical sponge with medium hardness, ideal for gentle steps on harder or medium paints.
Yellow medium pad: A medium cutting pad that can also be used for finishing harder paints and one step on medium or soft paints.
Red medium soft pad: A sponge ideal for finishing hard, medium-hard paints, or delicate one-steps on medium or soft paints
Black soft pad: a typical finishing sponge for ultra-soft and soft paints.

How to choose the right polishing pad?

The general rule for selecting polishing pads is as follows:
The harder the pad, the greater the abrasion power of the paint, but the lower the gloss level. The softer the pad, the greater the gloss, but the lower the abrasiveness of the paint. When selecting a polishing pad, we must consider the paint’s hardness and the level of damage to the paint.
Here are three examples of selecting polishing pads for different types of varnishes:
1. Hard, heavily damaged paint:
In the first step of polishing, a hard pad (White Nat) in combination with a strong cutting compound (for example, Swag HC, FX Protect HC, Polytop Diamant 2000 or 5000) will remove thick scratches. This step must often be repeated twice or thrice for complete damage removal.
– in the second step, depending on the traces left after the first step, use a medium soft (Red Nat) and a finishing compound (for ex., Swag FC, FX Protect FC, Polytop Antihologram) if the level of polishing traces is small. However, if the paint is not in the best condition after the first cutting step, use a medium pad (Yellow or Orange Nat) in combination with a medium paste (for ex, Swag MC, FX Protect MC)
Generally, most German cars have harder or very hard paints.

2. Medium hardness paint:
In the case of this type of paint, the task is usually simpler because in the case of minor damage, we can polish the paint in one step using a medium cutting sponge, e.g. (Bue or green Nat) combined with a high-quality, strong compound with reducing properties (Swag HC, FX Protect HC, Polytop Diamant 2000) or medium abrasive compound (Swag MC, FX Protect MC)
We can also achieve a great effect on this type of paint using high-quality AIO paste (Zvizzer ONe, Polytop Rapid One Step +)
Most Italian, French and Korean cars have medium-hard paint.

3. Polishing Soft paint

Hard polishing pads are rarely used on soft paints. Even for larger damage, using medium or medium-cutting pads (e.g., blue, green, violet Nat) is better.
For soft paints, a too hard pad will create too much of a mess and be difficult to finish. We usually use soft pads (black and red Nat) to finish soft paints. However, we often have to perform 3-step polishing, starting with a harder combination, then medium, and ending with a soft one. Older Japanese and American cars are characterized by the fact that they can be very smooth)
